Essentially, we'll work collaboratively to uncover deeper insights, process difficult emotions, and cultivate a more secure and fulfilling sense of self and connection with others.

Session frequency is ultimately up to you and what works best for your schedule and unique circumstances. However, it is typical to start out with weekly or bi-weekly sessions for at least the first few months. This supports with developing consistency and strengthening the therapeutic relationship.
It can be normal for session frequency to ebb and flow throughout one’s therapy journey, so this can be continually discussed and assessed as needed.

I offer 50-minute sessions during afternoons and evenings on the following days: Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may access my schedule here (available May 2025) to inquire about upcoming available time slots.

I'm currently offering virtual sessions exclusively. I find that online therapy is just as effective and provides greater accessibility and convenience.

I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled. I kindly request 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows me to offer the time slot to another client who may need it. If cancellations are made with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you miss your appointment, the full session fee will be applied.

In Ontario, it mostly comes down to your private insurance. Give them a call or check your policy details, and ask specifically if they cover Registered Psychotherapists. OHIP typically doesn't cover Registered Psychotherapists. Lastly, if you're part of any unions or organizations, check with them too, as they might have additional benefits. At this time, I do not offer direct billing. At the completion of your therapy session, you will receive a receipt that you can send to your insurance provider for reimbursement. If your insurance provider refuses to reimburse you, you will still be required to pay the full session fee.

I accept a wide range of payment options for your convenience, including Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit Mastercard and American Express. To streamline the process, I require card information to be entered through your Jane account prior to your first session, even for the free Meet & Greet. For all paid appointments, payments will be automatically processed after each session, and you'll receive an email receipt containing all the necessary information for insurance claim submissions.

Accessing your video session is simple! A few minutes before your scheduled appointment, you’ll receive an email or text reminder with a direct link to your Jane Video session. You can also access the link by logging into your Jane App patient portal. Once logged in, navigate to your upcoming appointments, and you’ll see a ‘Start Video Call’ button. Clicking this button will open the video session in your web browser. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and allow Jane access to your camera and microphone. For the best experience, I recommend using a computer with a web browser like Chrome. For mobile, consider using Chrome for Android devices and Safari for iOS devices. Yes, I welcome referrals from healthcare professionals and other referring sources. I believe in collaborative care and value the trust you place in me to support your clients/patients.
